THE ELECTRICITY WORKS (ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT) (SCOTLAND) REGULATIONS 2017
As directed by regulation 23(1)(c) of the Electricity Works (Environmental Impact Assessment) (Scotland) 2017, notice is hereby given that Chirmorie Wind Farm Ltd. (“the Company”) has been granted a varied consent by Scottish Ministers to construct and operate a 21 turbine wind powered
electricity generating station with a generating capacity exceeding 50 MW. The 21 turbines will have a maximum height to blade tip of up to 149.9 metres.
The Development is to be located 5 kilometres south of Barrhill, in the South Ayrshire Council Planning Area
Scottish Ministers have also directed, under Section 57 (2) of the Town & Country Planning Act
(Scotland) 1997, that planning permission is varied for the generating station and ancillary development as set out and referred to in full within the decision statement.
